The word dojang signifies a place where one studies “the
way”.
The Dojang of the Mid-Autumn Moon truly
meets this criterion.
It is a humble building, but one with a
strong sense of spirit.
Located in a rural location, it was
hand built by family and friends.
The lumber used for the support beams
and exterior walls grew on our property was cut by my husband and was
milled here with the help of our children.
The name “Mid-Autumn Moon” was chosen as a way to
dedicate the dojang to my husband, Jim.
He was born in the
middle of autumn and, like the moon, he sheds comforting light through
the darkness.
